If www.jacopastorious.com is to be beleived, then Jaco Pastorious is the "world's greatest bass player." I can't claim to know anything about that. All I can say is that I love when an artist takes a single instrument (i.e. the bass) and experiments to it's musical limits.At a highschool choir competition a few years ago, I got to see someone do a 10 minute long fretless bass solo. It kind of blew my mind...
